Any news on the Zune HD?

March 9th, 2010 jedwan No comments

I was wondering whether Future Shop had any news on the Zune HD? I really want one, but I can only buy them through Future Shop because I have a gift card. So any news when the shipments are coming in?

I saw the ColorWare things and to be honest, I found them way overpriced.  For those who really wish they could get a different colour for their BlackBerry and have the money for it, go for it, but for me…  Of course, a much cheaper (but not as attractive) options is just to purchase a rubber skin for the phone.  Or, you can even just purchase a stick on skin.  Some companies even allow you to create your own skin and they simply print it out and ship it to you.

Personally, I like my BlackBerry Storm to look as perfect as possible, so I just use a protective skin (Phantom Skinz) on it and that’s all.

XL, I’m glad you like it.  And I’m glad to see that you also added the part about it voiding the warranty.  That’s something that most people don’t think about but if something goes wrong with your phone, you could end up looking at $600 paper weight.

Re: Blackberry Webkit Browser

Yup, the webkit browser is looking very exciting, and I’m loving the prospect of not having to use a seperate browser like Opera Mini.  Combine the new browser with the upcoming release of Flash for BlackBerry, and we’ll be set!

Only one potential problem though… we don’t know which devices will end up being able to support the new browser and the upcoming widgets, and even some relatively new models (e.g. the Storm 9530 or the Curve 8900, etc.) may not be compatible.  Hopefully that won’t be the case, but we shall see.  And unfortunately, this isn’t exactly one of those questions I’m allowed to ask my contacts at RIM.

Here’s to hoping we’ll see the new browser this year.  Of course that will end up coming down to the carriers accepting whatever OS versions RIM gives to them.

So Telus has released the Milestone today in Canada. I noticed it is not listed on FutureShops website. When will this phone be available for purchase?

As long as you have a working USB port, the proper cables, and have installed iTunes for free, you are good to go!  You can also get all sorts of information and help regarding iTunes or iPods from Apple’s website.

If I understand you correctly, you have a headset that has two connectors, one for the headphones themselves, and one for a microphone on the headset?

If this is the case, you can plug in the connectors to the headphone jack and the microphone jack, respectively.

On the other hand, if you mean you have a headset with a single connector that you want to use as the microphone and the headphones for your HP mini, then I don’t think it’s possible unless it comes with software and it’s own adapter.  In this case you would likely only be able to use the headset as a pair of headphones with your HP netbook.  But you can still use the built-in microphone if needed.
