The warranty entitles you to a repair of your product if it is defective, and does not create any trade-in opportunity.   Having said that, keep an eye on Future Shop’s promotions — there have been some trade-in promotions run in the past, and I imagine there will be more in the future.   Hope that helps!

Ipod Touch 4th Gen

by jedwan on January 27, 2012

Hi, I have an ipod touch 4th gen that I bought last year. I also bought the 2 year extended future shop warranty as well. I dropped my ipod touch today and the screen cracked. I know Future Shop doesn’t cover physical damage. So I was thinking I could go and get it fixed at (competitor), but would getting it fixed at (competitor) effect my warranty with future shop?

I am with Telus through Future Shop. I am not pleased with my phone and would like to upgrade it. Would i have to pay the Telus upgrade price or a Future Shop upgrade price? The Telus upgrade price is $10 per month is the contract is not up.

Hi,   Yes, if you paid by credit or debit and can access your statement, find the date which you purchased the iPod, bring the statement by your local Future Shop and we should be able to pin-point your purchase in our system. I hope this isn’t too late of an answer!

I bought my IPhone @ the Future Shop in Coquitlam Mall and every month 14$ is taken off my credit card for the extra insurance I got should anything happen to the phone.   From the title of this post you’ve probably dedused there is something wrong with my phone. Said problem is with the power button. If you click the power button of a new phone then try mine its easy to see the button on my phone is stiff and sometimes it gets stuck completely and wont move. My dad works for Mac and he said there is something wrong with it and to take it in. I’ve now gone into that Coquitlam Mall Future Shop 4 times to have my phone fixed and have yet to have anyone fix it… they wont even keep it to try and fix it. They say there’s nothing wrong and send me on my way.   I’m just really disappointed and frustrated with the cell phone reps @ that Future Shop in Coquitlam Mall. All I’m asking is for someone to fix it. That’s what I’m paying all that money for, no?   What should I do?   Thanks for taking the time, Stephanie.
